HTC released NFT-enabled smartphone with the Viverse metaverse

What’s new? Taiwan-based HTC has released the Desire 22 Pro smartphone, the main feature of which is support for NFT and the Viverse metaverse. Using the phone and HTC VR headset, users will be able to access virtual content. The company also introduced the Viverse Wallet, designed to store and manage digital assets and non-fungible tokens.

Characteristics of the smartphone. The device features a 6,6-inch 120Hz LCD display, Snapdragon 695 processor and a 4 520 mAh battery.
The HTC Desire 22 Pro is available in gold and black and will retail for 11 990 TWD ($404) in Taiwan and €459/£399 in Europe. Open sales in Taiwan will begin on July 1 through online and offline channels. Customers who order before July 31 will receive several exclusive gifts, including an HTC shockproof case, wireless charger, and a unique NFT that can be redeemed through the Viverse app.
What is known about Viverse? It's a metaverse created by HTC and named after the Vive VR headset series. According to the organization, Viverse is “how different experiences and content ecosystems interconnect to offer a more holistic and seamless user experience in a decentralized and open way.”
Earlier, Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, introduced the Android-based Saga smartphone. The device's functionality is tightly integrated with Solana's blockchain, which will enable secure Web 3.0 transactions and management of digital assets such as cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Saga is already available for pre-order. The smartphone will go on sale in early 2023 for $1 000.
