What’s new? Kevin O’Leary, a Canadian entrepreneur and the star of the TV show Shark Tank, claims that the price of bitcoin will never fall to zero. He explained that he sees cryptocurrency as a means of savings. O’Leary noted that he has set aside equal shares of his portfolio for bitcoin and gold (5% each). He said this in an interview with Kitco News at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami.
What else did O’Leary say? 20% of the entrepreneur’s assets are in the field of DeFi and cryptocurrencies. O’Leary has assets in Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, HBAR, and Avalanche. He said that US regulators need to develop a policy on the cryptocurrency industry. Then investors will start actively investing in cryptocurrency, primarily in bitcoin, O’Leary believes. The entrepreneur also noted that the US government will have to approve stablecoins in order to keep the dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
Kevin O’Leary previously stated that green bitcoin mining could “save the world.” The entrepreneur hopes that bitcoin mining will become more stable and environmentally friendly in the future.
