According to Mishustin, all issues related to conducting cryptocurrency transactions should be discussed jointly with the Bank of Russia. What does the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation say? On March 25, a meeting was held with the representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia faction, where Mishustin commented on the topic of creating a special regime for conducting transactions with digital assets.
“We looked at the concept [of regulating cryptocurrencies] in great detail last month. But, without a doubt, such issues can only be addressed jointly with the Central Bank to assess the risks that cryptocurrencies pose to Russia’s monetary circulation,” the head of the Russian government explained.
What had happened before? On March 24, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation supported the Ministry of Finance’s bill “On Digital Currency.” The regulator proposed to finalize the document on mining issues.
