What is the amount of funds under management? The Morgan Stanley Europe Opportunity Fund held 83 803 GBTC securities worth $5,14 million as of October 31. The fund had 58 116 and 28 289 bitcoin trust shares on its balance sheet at the end of the second and third quarters.
What had happened before? Morgan Stanley funds made their first test purchase of the GBTC shares in June 2021. At that time, they acquired 28 289 shares of the Grayscale fund. Earlier it also became known that the investment bank has begun to form a team that will focus on studying the impact of cryptocurrencies on equities and fixed income instruments.
