What’s new? In June, NFT sales volume fell to a one-year low, with about 19 000 transactions worth $13,8 million per day. According to nonfungible.com, similar figures in the non-fungible token segment were recorded in June 2021. The highest number of sales (224 768) was recorded on September 24 last year and the highest amount of transactions was on May 1, 2022: $780,4 million with 118 577 transactions.
What else is known about the NFT sphere? The growth of economic figures in the segment started in the first half of 2021 and maintained positive trends until May 2022. However, the fall in cryptocurrency rates had a big impact on the NFT ecosystem, so like the rest of the digital assets market, it began to sink. As a result, over the past three months, the NFT market capitalization has fallen by almost 40% and trading volume by almost 66%.
According to a Be[In]Crypto survey in May, global interest in NFTs decreased by 74% since the beginning of the year amid the market collapse. The total monthly sales volume on major marketplaces fell by 75% compared to January, from $16,54 billion to $4 billion.
