What does the company’s representative say? Jørgen Arnesen, vice president of Mobile at Opera, said that the main goal of the project is to help cryptocurrencies and Web3 become more popular:
“Opera’s Crypto Browser Project promises a simpler, faster, more private Web3 experience for users. Opera believes Web3 has to be easy to use for the decentralized web to reach its full potential.”
What is the special feature of the browser? The built-in wallet will support Ethereum in beta and will soon extend to Polygon, Solana, Nervos, Celo. Opera’s integration with Polygon is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
The wallet supports both fungible ERC-20 standards as well as nonfungible ERC-721 standards, with ERC-1155 coming in the first quarter of 2022. The users will be able to buy cryptocurrency through the built-in fiat transfer system, make an exchange between digital assets and access a built-in NFT gallery.
