What’s new? Sales of Nvidia's line of cryptocurrency mining processors (CMP) fell by 60% in the third quarter, from $266 million to $105 million. This is according to the organization’s reports.
What does the reporting say? The drop in the indicator came on the back of Ethereum's price rise of more than 30% between July and September.
“We do not know how much cryptocurrency mining has affected the sales rate graphics processing unit (GPU). The volatility of digital asset prices can affect demand for our products and our ability to predict it,” Nvidia points out.
What are the company's overall indicators? Nvidia's revenue grew 50,3% year-on-year to $7,1 billion, with net income up 84,4% to $2,46 billion.
