What do the company’s representatives say about the collaboration? Sebastien Borget, COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox said:

“The RPG category is one of the most dynamic and popular segments of The Sandbox, making the Dungeon Siege IP a perfect fit for our community. Through the Dungeon Siege experience on Square Enix’s estate, players will be able to undertake a curated adventure that will help prepare them to create their own original quests inspired by the classic games, carrying forward the franchise’s legacy.”

Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda has previously stated that the company will focus on metaverse technology and NFTs in 2022. Matsuda hopes that blockchain technologies will be able to change the approach to creating video games.
