The Grayscale Investments research: more than 25% of the US investors own bitcoin

What’s new? Grayscale Investments has released its third annual study of investors’ views on bitcoin. The report showed a steady increase in interest, awareness, and use of BTC and other digital currencies.
The Grayscale Investments research results
What does the report say? More than a quarter (26%) of the respondents already own bitcoin and 59% want to invest in it. This percentage is higher than in 2020 (55%) and 2019 (36%). The majority (87%) of the bitcoin holders also own one or more altcoins.
The enthusiasm for Bitcoin investment products has increased sharply among older investors between 55 and 64 years of age (46% in 2021, up from 30% in 2020). 53% of the female respondents expressed interest in investing in the first cryptocurrency (up from 47% in 2020).
What does the expert say? Grayscale Investments CEO Michael Sonnenshein commented on the situation as follows:
“The 2021 Bitcoin Investor Study results show that more investors see long-term potential in adding bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to their investment portfolios.”
