What’s new? Artem Zheleznov, Managing Director for Strategy and International Presence of the Moscow Exchange, said that the team is currently working on the inclusion of the platform in the register of information system operators of the Bank of Russia. This will allow the company to issue digital financial assets (DFAs). He said that industrial groups, which are major customers of the trading platform, are interested in deals with DFAs. Frank RG writes about it.
What else did Zheleznov say? Zheleznov predicts that the Moscow Exchange will be included in the register by the end of 2022. The first deal with digital financial assets is also planned for this year.
Earlier, Andrey Burilov, Managing Director for IT and Member of the Management Board of the Moscow Exchange, also noted that the site plans to release a DFA-based product by the end of 2022. He added that the exchange was dealing with the issue of listing tokens with one of its partners, a company from the real sector.
The registered operators of information systems for DFA issuance in Russia are Sberbank, Atomyze, and Lighthouse. All three firms have already issued digital financial assets.
In July, deputy Anatoly Aksakov said that a Russian crypto exchange could be created as part of the Moscow Exchange. Representatives of the platform said that it would be possible only after approval of the regulatory framework.
