What’s new? The Wall Street Journal reports that the metaverse platform Zepeto has held a Series B funding round. The round managed to raise $150 million from the Japanese bank SoftBank.

What else is known about the platform? Zepeto is a metaverse in which users can communicate with each other, create avatars, attend virtual events and buy various items.
The platform was founded by NAVER Corporation, a major South Korean IT company, and is popular with users from the Asian region. Up to 2 million people visit the Zepeto metaverse every day. Most of them are young girls from 13 to 24 years old.
