Who was involved in the funding round? The investors were Visa, DRW Venture Capitalist, Marshall Wace, and PayPal Ventures. Other companies included Block (formerly known as Square Inc.), Citi Ventures, and Amex Ventures, the venture capital arm of American Express.
What does the CEO say? Esteban Castaño, CEO of TRM, said that the company will use the capital raised to continue offering its customers the most reliable data and innovative technological solutions:
“The crypto market is moving faster than any sector of the economy. Thus companies need a blockchain intelligence partner that can stay ahead of the evolving risk landscape — from ransomware attacks to DeFi exploits.”
What is known about the organization? The TRM company specializes in blockchain analysis and offers cryptocurrency forensics services aimed at detecting cyber fraud. Blockchain forensics includes transaction monitoring as well as wallet blacklisting and anti-money laundering (AML) protocols. The firm's clients include DeFi startup Uniswap Labs.
