What’s new? TrustWallet, a cryptocurrency wallet, has become a partner of the social network Instagram, owned by Meta (recognized as extremist and banned within the Russian Federation). The deal will integrate NFT collections into the social network and support their creators. With a built-in decentralized browser, users of the social network will be able to buy and sell various collectibles. This was reported by the representatives of TrustWallet on Twitter.

What is TrustWallet? It is a mobile crypto wallet with a built-in dApp browser. TrustWallet is the official wallet of the Binance crypto exchange. With it, one can store and buy cryptocurrencies and NFTs. TrustWallet supports more than 40 blockchains and cryptocurrency staking is also available.
What events happened before? On May 10, Instagram added support for NFTs based on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Flow blockchains. Large crypto wallets such as MetaMask, TrustWallet, and CoinbaseWallet are available to tie non-fungible tokens to the social network.
In January 2022, Twitter provided the option to set NFT as a profile picture. The feature is available to subscribers of the premium Twitter Blue service. The token integration was implemented based on the API interface of the OpenSea NFT marketplace.
