What’s new? Visa has confirmed that it has completed the acquisition of Currencycloud for £700 million, which is $950 million. It aims to provide transparency, flexibility, and control when making international payments or doing business in multiple currencies for both companies' clients.

Information on the Currencycloud website

What does Currencycloud CEO say? Mike Laven, CEO of Currencycloud, noted that the partnership with Visa may expand the scope of crypto payments. He added:

“Currencycloud is all about bringing clarity and value to the opaque, costly and time-consuming issues associated with cross-border payments, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises that are under-served by traditional banking. Ripple’s solution will help us to extend our network to new parts of the world, removing more barriers to payments for our clients.”

What are the advantages of the partnership? Currencycloud has already supported more than 500 banking and technology clients with a reach of over 180 countries. Visa, which recently launched its cryptocurrency financial advisory unit for institutions, has now expanded even further with Currencycloud's global client base. Visa openly supports cryptocurrency payments and several crypto-positive launches may take place against the background of the partnership with Currencycloud.
