What’s new? Visa, a payment processing giant, has launched its cryptocurrency financial advisory unit for the institutions. It will be located in the consulting and analytics department and will help the Visa customers navigate the crypto space.

Visa will provide advice to the financial institutions, retailers, and other companies on various issues ranging from implementing crypto functions and studying NFT to developing wallets for CBDC. According to the company, part of the organizations' interest in cryptocurrencies is to remain competitive.
What does the company representative say? Nikola Plecas, Visa’s European crypto lead, said:
“Crypto for us is a huge new vertical and growth opportunity. And we will be continuing to focus on growing this business.”
What had happened before? This step demonstrates another attempt by Visa to delve deeper into the cryptocurrency industry. Thus the company has previously applied for blockchain-related patent approvals. Visa's research team is also working on the Universal Payment Channel project.
