What’s new? The employees of Rosseti Moscow Region have uncovered signs of unaccounted electricity consumption by mining equipment, the organization’s press service reports. The farm of 50 servers was located in a warehouse in the Koptevo district of Moscow’s Northern Administrative District. The law enforcement authorities have launched a pre-investigation check.

What are the details of the case? It has been established that the attackers illegally connected to a transformer substation. According to the results of the load measurement, the power consumption of the equipment was 130 kW. The owner of the farm is wanted and faces up to five years in prison.
Earlier, the police in Dagestan conducted a successful raid on three illegal crypto farms, which resulted in the seizure of 4343 ASIC miners with a total value of more than 500 million Russian rubles.
