What are the prospects? The government of Belarus hopes that the new regulations will allow protecting the cryptocurrency market participants from loss of property. The authorities also noted that they intend to monitor the field of digital assets and tighten the norms imposed if necessary.
What had happened before? In early February, the Ministry of Finance of Belarus stated that it had drafted amendments to the legislation that will allow funds to invest in digital assets.
The agency also considers it necessary that professional securities market participants have the right to become residents of the Hi-Tech Park (HTP).
