What’s new? According to a report by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), an international consulting firm, the cryptocurrency industry will have 1 billion users by 2030. Experts have analyzed the market and concluded that the adoption of cryptocurrencies is still at a low level compared to traditional assets. According to the company, 25% of personal capital is invested in equities, while only 0,3% is invested in digital assets.
What else does BCG say? The report includes a graph that compares the adoption curve of the internet to 1 billion users with cryptocurrency owners and Ethereum addresses with non-zero balances. Experts emphasized that the industry is in for “plenty of growth” if the trend continues.
In June, experts at Blockware Intelligence, an analytics company, reported that the adoption of bitcoin in various areas of life could happen faster than it did with disruptive technologies such as cars and electricity. Experts predict that the adoption rate of the first cryptocurrency will exceed 10% by 2030.
