What’s new? The largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has announced that it will suspend withdrawals for the duration of maintenance on April 14 at 8:30 Moscow time. According to the company, the blocking will last about three hours and will affect Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Ripple, Dogecoin, Polkadot, and other networks, the full list can be found on the exchange’s blog.
What had happened before? In early April, Binance led a $150 million funding round of Sky Mavis, the developer of the crypto game Axie Infinity. The company also invested in STEPN, a web3 application, the amount of investments is not disclosed.
On March 29, the exchange announced the rollout of Binance Bridge 2.0 to integrate CeFi and DeFi. With this feature, the platform’s users will be able to transfer funds from any Ethereum-compatible blockchain to the Binance Chain network. It also became known that by March 21, NFT sales on the Binance Chain network increased by 1180% since January 2022. The total trading volume exceeded $1,3 million.
