What’s new? Croatian Post has announced that its customers can now exchange five cryptocurrencies for Croatian kuna at branches across the country. The organization offers assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Stellar, and EOS.
Official statement of the company
“Starting December 11, all Croatian and foreign service users will be able to convert their cryptocurrencies to HRK in just a few simple steps.”
Who does the Croatian Post cooperate with? The cryptocurrency exchange is carried out in cooperation with Electrocoin, a Croatian cryptocurrency broker and payment processing service provider. The authority stresses that virtual assets may be purchased using a QR code.
What is known about the project? There are currently 1016 post offices, 2135 cash registers, and 10 000 employees in the country. The organization’s representatives reported that the launching of the cryptocurrency exchange service in 55 post offices followed the successful implementation of a pilot project in post offices in the city of Zadar:
“The pilot project has shown that there is an interest for this type of service, which is why Croatian Post will introduce the service of cryptocurrency exchange at post offices across the country.”
As previously stated the UK Post has allowed buying cryptocurrencies through its application.
