What else is known about the situation? They also noted that the only real wallet is presented only as an extension for the Google Chrome browser.

In March, ESET uncovered a fraudulent scheme to spread malicious apps disguised as well-known cryptocurrency wallets. The company also reported 13 fake apps posing as the Jaxx Liberty wallet on the Google Play Store.

In October, BleepingComputer experts warned of a fake security update for Phantom cryptocurrency wallets on the Solana blockchain. Hackers under the guise of a wallet update send out NFTs containing malware.
