What’s new? GameStop has launched a beta version of its NFT trading platform built on the Loopring L2 solution. This was announced by Adam Browman, head of growth, on the official Loopring blog. GameStop, in partnership with Loopring, will have the opportunity to establish itself at the forefront of NFT and become a hub for the new digital economy, Browman stated.
What is known about GameStop? It is a retailer of consoles and games from the USA. GameStop offers a wide range of selection of gaming consoles, accessories, monitors, TVs, and other consumer electronics, as well as video games in both physical and digital formats.
What is known about Loopring? It is an Ethereum Layer-2 based protocol using the zk-Rollup solution for scalable exchange and payments. The Loopring ecosystem includes the Loopring Wallet for smart contracts, its own Loopring Coin (LRC) token, and the Loopring Exchange, a decentralized exchange.
What preceded it? GameStop announced the launch of its own NFT marketplace back at the beginning of this year. In February, it became known that the platform will be based on startup Immutable’s Ethereum layer 2 solution
