What’s new? HSBC, one of the largest international providers of banking and financial services, has announced a virtual rugby tournament in The Sandbox metaverse. The project is implemented in partnership with Hong Kong-based Index Game, Metaverse Post reports.

The companies will present an immersive gaming experience called The Hong Kong Sevens in honor of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2022 championship, which will be held in Hong Kong from November 4-6. It will be a series of quests that will immerse the players in the world of rugby.
In March, HSBC bought a plot of land at The Sandbox for a virtual rugby stadium. In February, Manchester City Football Club also announced the construction of a stadium in the metaverse.
What is known about Sandbox? The Sandbox project was launched by the game developer Pixowl. This is a virtual world based on the Ethereum blockchain that allows digital assets to be created, bought, and sold using the native token, SAND. The users own plots of land at the metaverse, which are non-fungible tokens, LAND. As of September 28, 07:15, SAND is trading at $0,8413, having lost 1,68% in 24 hours, according to Binance.
