What's new? The first ever Dolce&Gabbana NFT auction “Collezione Genesi” collected 1,885 ethers, which is equivalent to 5.7 million dollars. The auction began on September 28 and ended on September 30. The NFT was personally designed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for UNXD platform, based on the Polygon network.
What is the total cost? The largest amount was received for “The Doge Crown” NFT - 423.5 ETH, or about $ 1.3 million at current prices, and for “The Glass Suit” – 351.384 ETH, or $ 1 million. Each of two versions of “Dress from a Dream” earned more than $500,000.
“In a historic moment for the NFT ecosystem, Collezione Genesi is the first luxury NFT collection that involves both digital and physical works, truly bridging the physical and the metaphysical,” Dolce and Gabbana’s statement says.
What are the plans of UNXD? The platform has launched a new $ 10 million “Culture Fund”. Its aim is to accelerate the fashion industry’s expansion into the metaverse and NFTs. The organizers believe that the fund will offer different ways of making income to fashion brands and designers.
As previously stated, French fashion house Louis Vuitton has launched a mobile game in which players could collect 30 NFTs.
