What’s new? Social media Snap plans to integrate NFTs on its app. Financial Times reports, citing its own sources, that non-fungible tokens will be used as filters for pictures and videos. According to insiders, testing of the new feature is due to start at the end of August.
What else is known about the new feature? Snap has no plans to charge for showcasing NFTs, but the platform is exploring ways to collaborate with third parties to help creators monetize their works.
Earlier, streaming music service Spotify began limited testing of NFTs. Users can view tokens posted on some musicians’ pages and go to the marketplace to purchase them.
