What’s new? Meta (recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation) has started testing the marketplace for its own metaverse Horizon Worlds. The users will be able to sell and buy in-game items and assets. The feature will be available to players over the age of 18 from the US and Canada.
More details about the new marketplace. The players will be able to upload their own mods, accessories, visuals, and individual locations of the game world to the marketplace. Meta representatives have announced a new bonus program for item creators. The authors will receive monthly payments for their achievements.
The company has also announced an increase in the Horizon Creators fund to attract more players. The fund was $10 million when it was created in October 2021, with funds are paid to developers and in-game item creators
What is Horizon Worlds? It is Meta’s metaverse for Oculus Rift S and Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headsets. The official launch of the project took place on December 9, 2021, for players from the US and Canada.
