What’s new? The official website of the large American mining pool BTC.COM has published a message about blocking access to the service for users from Russia. The company explained such a decision by supporting the anti-Russian sanctions imposed after the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
What restrictions have been imposed? BTC.COM has already stopped registration for users from Russia, existing users also report that it is impossible to connect to the pool. When trying to access, a message appears stating that the service does not support the region.
“If you are located or your company was established/registered in mainland China or Russia, or if you are a citizen/resident of these countries, you are prohibited from accessing our services.”
Earlier was mentioned that Ethereum's largest mining pool suspended operations in Russia and Belarus.
