How does the mayor of New York promote cryptocurrency? Adams announced his decision to get paid in cryptocurrency back in November last year. He has long been fighting for digital assets on par with the mayor of Miami. In November, the New York City chief offered to study cryptocurrency in schools. Adams stated:
“New York is the center of the world, and we want it to be the center of cryptocurrency and other financial innovations. Being on the forefront of such innovation will help us create jobs, improve our economy, and continue to be a magnet for talent from all over the globe.”
