What other data has been released? As can be seen on the chart by Unfolded, the NFT monthly sales peaked in January 2022, topping $4 billion. A sharp drop followed in June, and the decline in volume continued in the following months. Already in September, the decline was 97% of the January peak, with sales volumes in the first month of fall totaling only $466 million (according to Dune Analytics).
Meta previously launched NFT posting and reposting features for all Facebook and Instagram users in the United States. Users in 100 countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East can access the feature only through Instagram.
Also in September, Apple approved NFT sales through apps on the App Store. The company noted that the commission will be 30%. Members of the crypto community criticized the high fees, as commissions on leading NFT marketplaces usually reach only 5%.
