Playboy to build mansion in The Sandbox metaverse

Users will have access to games, unique content, and brand events

What’s new? Playboy Magazine will build a virtual mansion, MetaMansion, in The Sandbox metaverse. As part of the project, users will have access to the brand’s unique content and NFT collections, as well as the opportunity to participate in games and events. Representatives of The Sandbox have posted a trailer of the future online space on their Twitter.

What else is known about the project? MetaMansion is directly linked to the previously launched NFT collection, the Playboy Rabittars, which consists of 11 953 rabbit avatars. They were sold in October 2021 for around $800 per token. It is expected that the holders of the Playboy Rabittars will have access to exclusive features of the virtual mansion, but the specific details and the launch date of the MetaMansion project are not yet known.

In February, Italian fashion house Gucci bought a plot in Sandbox to create a virtual store. Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) is also setting up its headquarters in the metaverse. And UK-based dental practice chain The Dental Design Studio will begin to conduct a virtual practice on its plot, consulting patients and showing health education material.
