What’s new? On December 5, engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong posted an icon of Twitter Coin. She also posted a picture of the future section “Tips” in the social network’s settings. After that, the rate of Dogecoin (DOGE) meme cryptocurrency jumped by 6,63%. Apparently, users of the social network associated DOGE with Twitter Coin. Wong commented on the meme token’s rise, saying that there is no information in the code about what “Twitter Tips” and “Twitter Coin” are, let alone whether they are associated with Dogecoin. As of 09:40 UTC, the DOGE rate is $0,1075, according to Binance.

Who else reported on Twitter Coin? Twitter Coin’s logo was first published on December 3 by a social network user under the nickname Nima Owji. He also wrote that Twitter was working on its own coins.

Earlier, Wong reported that encryption elements used by messenger Signal were discovered in the source code of Twitter’s iOS app. This led to a rise in the price of the Mobilecoin (MOB) cryptocurrency, which has been used in the app since 2021.
