Which authorities are involved? The regulatory framework for the cryptocurrency market will be developed by several government agencies: the Ministries of Finance, Information Technology and Justice, the Central Bank and the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
The Supreme Court’s decision was taken against the background of an application for review of the cryptocurrency decision. Recall that in 2018, the National Bank of Pakistan had published a document forbidding organizations and citizens to conduct any transactions with digital assets.
