What’s new? The top 10 most expensive usernames on the Telegram messenger sold on the Fragment platform included a name associated with the cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE). On November 9, an unknown user bought it for 350 000 TON (about $554 000 at the time of purchase). The username @doge currently ranks eighth on the list of most expensive usernames.

What other usernames made the top? Buying unique usernames for TON is one use of the token of The Telegraph Open Network (TON) blockchain. The sales are made on Fragment, an auction platform launched in late October. The top five most expensive usernames to sell are @auto, @bank, @avia, @chat, and @fifa. The most expensive username, @auto, sold for 900 000 TON (~$1,5 million).
What is known about DOGE? The meme cryptocurrency was created in 2013 by Billy Marcus and Jackson Palmer. The token’s mascot is a Shiba Inu dog. In September, DOGE became the second most capitalized cryptocurrency on the PoW algorithm. This came after the Ethereum network switched to PoS. As of Nov 17, 11:50 UTC, the coin is trading at $0,08496, down by 2,28% in 24 hours, according to Binance.
What is known about TON? TON was conceptualized by the Durov brothers in 2017, they raised several billion dollars in the project. The asset is trading at $1,7121003 (+0,7%).
Telegram founder Pavel Durov suggested launching a username marketplace in late August. He reported that the platform would be based on the TON blockchain, as it can provide scalability and speed for decentralized trading.
