What’s new? Satoshi Labs, a Czech company, has suspended shipments of Trezor crypto hardware wallets to Russia, NBC News reports. This came amid the imposition of economic sanctions against Russia. Kristýna Mazánkov, a spokesperson for Satoshi Labs, confirmed that Trezor wallets will not be supplied to Russia.
What preceded it? Major cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase support the blocking of accounts of users from the Russian Federation who are on the sanctions list. It was previously mentioned that mining pools BTC.com and Ethereum have also suspended operations in Russia.
What is Trezor? It is a physical hardware-based cryptocurrency wallet that can be used regardless of Internet availability. The Trezor crypto wallet was developed in 2014 by Satoshi Labs. The device stores user keys and financial transaction data.
