​Interest in bitcoin rises to a six-month high

What’s new? On November 10, the popularity of the search query “Bitcoin” rose to 100/100 scores, according to Google Trends. A sharp increase was recorded at the beginning of the month, with the figure jumping from a score of 34 points in the past week. Notably, bitcoin hit two-year low of $15 780 on November 10. As of November 14, 17:45 UTC, BTC is trading at $16 505, down by 0,83% per day, according to Binance.

What other information has been published? According to Google statistics, the largest number of queries came from El Salvador, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Austria. Cyprus, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, and Ghana are also in the top ten. Users from Japan, Taiwan, Iran, Russia, and Ukraine were least interested in bitcoin.

Previously, the maximum interest in bitcoin was recorded from June 12 to June 18, 2022. At the same time, the search query for “bitcoin dead” reached its high popularity — on June 18, the price of the first cryptocurrency fell below $20 000 for the first time since December 2020. And the lowest popularity rate of the search query “buy bitcoin” was recorded in September. The figure fell to 9/100 scores.

Earlier, the experts, interviewed by Kommersant, said that it might take 1-2 years for bitcoin to reach the value of $100 000. Some of them assumed that as a result of the bankruptcy of the FTX exchange the rate of the asset would fall to $12 000.
