Japanese messenger LINE launched its own NFT platform

What’s new? The Japanese company, LINE Corporation, the provider and operator of the application of the same name, has launched an NFT marketplace. LINE NFT, jointly with the Japanese entertainment conglomerate, Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings, will offer a large selection of tokens. This includes exclusive NFT videos and tokens from the classic anime series Patlabor the Mobile Police. This was announced by the representatives of LINE in a press release.
What is known about LINE NFT? A non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace is only available in Japan. The users can store purchased NFTs in the LINE BITMAX wallet. .
What preceded it? On February 8, 2022, the representatives of LINE announced the integration of a native token into their app. From March 16, users can make purchases at some partner online stores. The test period will last until December.
On 25 February 2022, the Japanese financial giant, Rakuten, announced the launch of its own NFT marketplace. The platform will enable users to buy and sell non-fungible tokens in areas ranging from sports to cinema.
