What’s new? One of the creators of Dogecoin (DOGE) Billy Markus proposed “the simplest and best use case” of the meme cryptocurrency, is to send tips with it. Markus tipped another user using a Twitter-based bot that allows sending rewards in DOGE.

What else did Markus say? Earlier, he suggested that using Dogecoin to tip and attracting new companies to use it as a means of payment would have a positive impact on the meme cryptocurrency. Markus added that sending tips in DOGE is a way of “spreading happiness over the internet.” He also suggested creating a bridge between Dogecoin and Ethereum that would allow the cryptocurrency to be used in Web 3.0 applications.

Earlier, experts told GetBlock Magazine that there is a high probability of Dogecoin being integrated into Twitter after Elon Musk bought the social network.

What events happened before? Billionaire Mark Cuban said that fraud and spam on the social network Twitter can be combated with cryptocurrency. Cuban suggested users put up 1 DOGE to publish tweets. The idea was supported by Dogecoin developer Billy Markus.

In mid-April, the founder and CEO of the online broker Robinhood, Vlad Tenev, reported that Dogecoin could become the “currency of the internet” in the future. For this to happen, developers should increase the block size to 1GB and then up to 10GB. Now the block size is 1MB.

Italian fashion house Gucci would start accepting DOGE in several US stores by the end of May. By the end of the summer, the brand plans to extend this program to all of its directly operated North American stores.
