Binance plans to launch a cryptocurrency card in Ukraine

What’s new? The Binance cryptocurrency exchange is about to launch a card with a balance in cryptocurrencies in Ukraine. It will be linked to a wallet on the platform, the company’s general manager in Ukraine, Kirill Khomyakov, explained in an interview with ForkLog on YouTube.
What did Khomyakov say? According to the regional head of Binance, the initiative with payment cards in cryptocurrencies will be implemented in cooperation with local partners. Their names have not yet been specified, Khomyakov added.
He clarified that the company is currently waiting for the law “On Virtual Assets” to come into force in Ukraine. After that, the tool will be launched under the legislation of the country.
What other plans does Binance have in Ukraine? Khomyakov also said that the platform is currently working on launching the Binance Pay service. It will allow paying for goods from retailers directly from a wallet on Binance. In addition, the exchange intends to develop digital art trading through Binance NFT.
What had happened before? In early January, Binance announced new appointments in Ukraine. In particular, it became known that Kirill Khomyakov took the position of general manager in the country. He had been the head of Ukraine's State Agency for Infrastructure Projects since 2019. It was reported that Khomyakov will strengthen Binance’s position in the Ukrainian market and implement the platform’s global marketing strategy.
