Bitget exchange announces partnership with Messi

What’s new? Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget and one of the world’s best football players, Lionel Messi, entered into a cooperation agreement. The parties will implement joint projects in the field of Web3, cryptocurrencies, and sports, Bitget’s press release reports. In addition, in connection with the announcement of the partnership, the exchange will organize a giveaway worth $2000 of native tokens BGB among 100 winners.

What else is known about the partnership? Participation in the giveaway is held among the exchange’s clients. One must enter one’s User Identifier (UID) on a special page, as well as subscribe to the Bitget account on Twitter and make a repost of the announcement of the beginning of the partnership with Messi. The results will be announced on November 22. As of October 24, 09:40 UTC, the BGB token is trading at $0,2, having lost 3,8% in 24 hours, according to aggregator CoinGecko.

According to the exchange’s managing director Gracy Chen, Bitget will try to show football fans all the benefits of its community through its partnership with Messi. The company also encouraged the athlete’s fans to participate in its own crypto trading tournament King’s Cup Global Invitational with prizes of up to 100 BTC, which will take place from November 21 to December 19.
Bitget was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Singapore. The company’s flagship product is a copy trade platform with 55 000 professional participants. The total number of users from 50 countries exceeds 2 million. The staff has about 800 employees. During the last year, Bitget started to collaborate with Italian FC Juventus and Turkish Galatasaray, as well as Team Spirit, one of the leading eSports clubs.
Lionel Messi is a player of the Argentine national team and Paris Saint-Germain FC, winner of seven Ballon d'Or awards and other prestigious awards. In March, he became a partner of the Socios fan token platform. The footballer will take part in the platform’s advertising campaigns as an ambassador for three years. According to Messi, using Socios will allow fans to “influence the teams they love.”
