What was the reason? This case of the Chinese authorities seizing mining devices came amidst the ongoing crackdown on miners in the country. These bans have already resulted in China losing its status as the world’s top bitcoin mining country.
The Shandong Development and Reform Commission (SDRC), has announced the release of a document titled “Report on Rectification of Virtual Currency Mining Activities.” According to the Chinese website 8btc, the regulator announced in the document the start of the supervision of phone lines for “rectification” of cryptocurrency mining activities at the provincial and municipal levels.
