What’s new? Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has published a list of tokens for potential listing in the second quarter of 2022. The list includes 45 ERC-20 tokens from the Ethereum network and 5 tokens from the Solana network. The list of coins includes Binance USD (BUSD), DappRadar (RADAR), Gemini USD (GUSD), BiFi (BIFI), Coin98 (C98), and others, the full list can be found on the exchange’s official blog.
What assets does Coinbase support? The exchange’s representatives have stated that the platform is currently considering only 3 types of assets for listing:
- Assets from its own network (such as MINA and STX)
- ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum network (such as APE and GALA)
- SPL tokens on the Solana network (such as ORCA and FIDA)
The blog also says that Coinbase is working on adding new networks and ecosystems. The exchange added the Cardano token (ADA) to its listing in March, and the altcoin subsequently rose by 18% to $1,14. Coinbase has also been sued. The accusers claim that the 79 tokens listed on the platform are securities and their sale is illegal.
