Crypto exchange Gate has launched its own launchpad for meme tokens MemeBox

What’s new? Centralized crypto exchange (CEX) Gate has launched a feature-rich platform for meme tokens called MemeBox. Positioned as one of the most important components of the exchange’s ecosystem, the platform will offer users a meme token market data aggregator, on-chain analytics tools, educational materials, a launchpad for launching their own coins, investment tools, and trading services.

What else is known? With the launch of MemeBox, the exchange aims to take a leading position as a trendsetter in the meme token segment and an incubator of innovative projects, as well as to help attract new users.

Gate is one of the largest centralized exchanges. According to the latest data, in October, the combined trading volume on Gate’s spot and derivatives markets totaled $126,94 billion. During the month, the exchange was visited by 16,3 million users, with the main traffic coming from Turkey (15%), Brazil (9%), and India (6%).

As for the meme token segment, its total capitalization at the time of writing the news lost 9% over the day and amounted to $124,1 billion, of which 48% falls on the largest and oldest meme token Dogecoin (DOGE).

The GMMEME index from provider GMCI, which tracks the rates of the largest meme tokens, went up after Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election, in line with the broader crypto market, adding 102%.

The position of the leading blockchain for meme token creation has been held by the Solana blockchain. Coins such as dogwifhat (WIF), BONK, POPCAT, Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT), cat in a dogs world (MEW), and Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) launched here. The total capitalization of meme tokens on Solana is $18,3 billion.

The Solana blockchain platform also offers PumpFun launchpad, where anyone can create their own meme token in a few clicks and for a small fee.

Assets issued with it include PNUT, GOAT, Moo Deng (MOODENG), Act I The AI Prophecy (ACT), and Just a chill guy (CHILLGUY). The total capitalization of coins created with the help of this platform is $6,4 billion.

In total, PumpFun has created more than 4,2 million tokens, which brought it $281 million in revenue in the form of fees.
