What’s new? The FTX cryptocurrency exchange has announced its activities’ expansion into the European market. This became possible after receiving permission from Cyprus’ financial regulators. The company will begin offering its products to European customers through a specially created licensed investment company. The new company will be headquartered in Switzerland, according to The Block.

What does the FTX’s representative say? The exchange’s user base has grown to 1 million people thanks to its stock trading feature. According to CoinMarketCap, the trading volume of the FTT token increased by 52,4% overnight amid the platform’s entry into the European market. CEO and founder Sam Bankman-Fried added:
“As we continue to grow, we are constantly looking at opportunities to become appropriately licensed and regulated in every market we enter. We’ll be interacting with regulators in various countries across Europe to continue to provide a safe and secure environment for people to trade crypto.”
