What’s new? Bitso, Mexico's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that the Ethereum-based cryptocurrency Shiba Inu is now available for trading on its platform. The exchange began announcing the listing back in late December.

What other coins are available on the platform? Bitso now supports the trading of 16 cryptocurrencies, including Compound, Axie Infinity, Chainlink, and others. Dogecoin was not included in this list.

What is known about the exchange? Bitso became the first cryptocurrency unicorn in May 2021 after raising $250 million in a Series C funding round. The company reached a valuation of $2,2 billion. In November, the company entered into an agreement with the cryptocurrency giant Circle to enable cross-border payments between Mexico and the US as a part of the Bitso Shift initiative.

The platform has long partnered with San Francisco-based blockchain company Ripple. This month, the Latin American crypto exchange signed a three-year partnership with the Brazilian professional football club Sao Paulo FC.
