What is known about the exchange? Bitso became the first cryptocurrency unicorn in May 2021 after raising $250 million in a Series C funding round. The company reached a valuation of $2,2 billion. In November, the company entered into an agreement with the cryptocurrency giant Circle to enable cross-border payments between Mexico and the US as a part of the Bitso Shift initiative.
The platform has long partnered with San Francisco-based blockchain company Ripple. This month, the Latin American crypto exchange signed a three-year partnership with the Brazilian professional football club Sao Paulo FC.
