What’s new? Russians have started using cryptocurrency exchanges more often, RBC reports citing Bestchange.ru senior analyst Nikita Zuborev. The expert believes that this trend is due to the spread of information about sanctions restrictions on Russian users by crypto exchanges. The most popular segment in the Russian Federation now is buying BTC from SberBank and Tinkoff cards.
What else did Zuborev add? Even before Binance officially announced the new restrictions for Russian users, attendance of exchangers increased by 10%. The popularity of stablecoins has also fallen, which may indirectly indicate a decline in interest in exchanges, as stablecoins were used to buy altcoins.
Cryptocurrency withdrawals in Russia remained at the same level, which means users have not changed their expectations regarding the yield of digital assets. P2P exchange aggregator, Monetory, indicated the main platforms where cryptocurrencies are exchanged for rubles.
