What’s new? On May 27, a large transaction was made from a wallet that had been inactive for almost 8 years. An unknown person transferred 7998,99 ETH worth $15,24 million. The transaction fee was $1,13. The user received all the coins during the launch of the Ethereum blockchain in 2015.
Large transfers on the Ethereum network. In 2023, analysts recorded a number of transactions made by wallets inactive for several years at a time. In March, for example, an unknown person moved 10 266 ETH worth about $16 million. According to Lookonchain, the coins were obtained by mining in 2017, when the asset was worth $300-$700.
On February 23, the address of one of an Ethereum initial coin offering (ICO) participants woke up after 3 years of inactivity and made a transaction worth 5055 ETH (more than $8,3 million at the time).

In addition, on April 21, an unknown person transferred 34 043 ETH worth $66,28 million to the Binance exchange. Most of these coins were purchased on March 11 at the rate of $1420.
