What’s new? The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has announced the release of its own NFT collection of 9000 tokens. The collection is released on the Everscale blockchain.

What is known about the collection? The token release is related to the World Chess Championship that will be held in Dubai on November 26, 2021. There will be 8400 plain tokens, 480 rare tokens, and 120 unique images available for users. The initial cost of the tokens will be $100, with secondary trading taking place on the Grand Bazar marketplace.
According to FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich, the entry into the NFT marketplace will allow the federation “to bring new experience and opportunities to the chess players around the world.”
