What’s new? Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey responded to the tweet by Hollywood hip-hop singer Cardi B asking whether cryptocurrencies have enough potential to replace the dollar. Dorsey replied that bitcoin may not just displace, but replace the main reserve currency.

Who else supported Dorsey? Many of the cryptocurrency community’s representatives have tagged along in comments to Cardi B's tweet, causing the dollar exchange rate to plummet. Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus humorously supported Dorsey's view, noting that Dogecoin is more stable than the dollar.
How does the market react? The cryptocurrency market is getting back on track, with the global market capitalization reaching $2,2 trillion, up 3,89% in the last day. According to CoinMarketCap, the total cryptocurrency market volume was $98,8 billion in the last 24 hours, up 21,54%. Bitcoin's price is rising again, surpassing the $48 000 mark, with its dominance index at 40,81%.
