What’s new? Ukraine hosted a major event called Diia Summit with an online presentation of new electronic services. Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Aleksandr Bornyakov spoke at the forum and called cryptocurrencies a driver of economic growth.

What theses did Bornyakov give? According to the official, the creation of favorable conditions and the introduction of transparent regulation for cryptocurrency companies will attract multi-billion dollar investments to the country and increase the number of blockchain startups’ registrations from around the world.
Bornyakov stressed that last year alone, the volume of the cryptocurrency market in Ukraine has increased fivefold, and venture capitalists have invested over $33 billion in various projects.
“I am not aware of any other sectors of the economy that could grow at such a rapid pace,” the Deputy Minister concluded.
