What’s new? The BNB Chain blockchain team has unveiled an updated roadmap for 2025, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI). In addition, the network aims to significantly improve its performance by reducing transaction latency to fractions of a second and increasing total throughput to 100 million transactions daily.
Created by Binance, BNB Chain has recently introduced a number of new technologies, including AI agent solutions and a meme coin issuance platform. However, the future for 2025 shows even bolder ambitions and goals.
“Looking ahead to 2025, BNB Chain is focused on delivering key upgrades to improve both technical performance and the user experience to lay the foundation for broader Web3 adoption.”
What else is known? In addition to speed improvements, BNB Chain introduces defenses against Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) attacks, focusing on vulnerabilities such as sandwich attacks. This will not only improve user security but also contribute to the overall integrity of the network. Implementing gas-free transactions across the board will improve usability by making transactions more accessible to users.
How did the market react? The roadmap announcement had a short-term impact on BNB’s market price: the fifth-largest altcoin by market capitalization rose by almost 10%. Its daily trading volume also rose 17%, according to CoinMarketCap data.
The company plans to enhance several existing tools for developers, such as the tokenization portal it launched last November. It will utilize AI for many of these, creating Code Copilot to help developers and new AI agent solutions.
